FAQs

You can see Dr Sharma at Little Aston Spire, Sutton Medical Consulting  and also home visits.

£300 for  initial appointment.

£200  for follow up appointment.

Dr Sharma can see you within 2 weeks to 4 weeks.

This is usually a 60 minute appointment with the Consultant. You can attend alone or with a family member or friend. You will be given an opportunity to see the Consultant on your own. The assessment may involve a discussion, psychological testing and any necessary physical examination (if appropriate). The Consultant is able to give a provisional diagnosis, usually at the end of this assessment. A treatment plan is constructed with your involvement and agreement. Dr Sharma can issue you a private prescription for any medication he is recommending or write to your GP requesting the same. A detailed report is sent to your GP about the consultation and plan of treatment and a copy is posted to you.

You don’t need a GP letter. However, a letter from GP ensures that I can advise GP about my treatment plan, following the consultation.

You can book an appointment by calling us or by sending an email.

Dr Sharma has to regrettably charge for cancelled appointments although he will make sure that any unforeseen events are considered appropriately and attempts to rebook the appointment at the earliest available date are made.

Please give us an advance notice of 48 hrs to allow us the opportunity for alternative appointment to be booked.

If you are unable to give us 48 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

If a notice of 48 hours to one week is given to cancel the appointment then 80% of the fee will be refunded.

If an appointment is cancelled more than one week in advance then £5 will be charged to cover administrative costs and the rest of the fee will be refunded in full.

No-shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously decides not to attend their appointment for any reason, will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged for their missed appointment.

Late arrivals: If you arrive late for your appointment, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate the next patient whose appointments may follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, Dr Sharma  will determine if there is enough time remaining to complete a full assessment and or treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given you will be responsible to pay for the whole scheduled session. Please plan accordingly and be on time to avoid disappointment.

You should expect to have at least a provisional professional opinion on your illness, a plan of treatment, a prescription if appropriate.

Please see my website, where I have included a lot of information on different psychiatric conditions.
